Jennifer M. Taylor, Ph.D.

Associate Professor at the University of Utah and author of over 45 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. She is also the co-editor of the book "Continuing Professional Development and Lifelong Learning: Issues, Impacts, and Outcomes", invited author for "Deliberate Practice in Career Counseling" (published by the American Psychological Association; APA), and is the guest editor for a Special Issue of the APA journal "Professional Psychology: Research and Practice". She has presented over 55 talks at regional, national, and international conferences and often presents with her students. Over the past three years, the APA has invited Jennifer to provide nationally webcast and live talks for their Academic Career Education Series. Jennifer currently serves as the Chair of the American Psychological Association's Board of Educational Affairs. She is passionate about teaching and is the recipient of the 2021 University of Utah College of Education Early Career Teaching Award and the 2020 University of Utah Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Leadership in Ethics Education Award. Jennifer is also the 2017 awardee for the American Psychological Association Board of Educational Affairs Cynthia D. Belar Education Advocacy Distinguished Service Award, for her social justice advocacy initiatives and training of students. Jennifer chaired the APA's Continuing Education Committee and was a Working Group member for the APA's Presidential Initiative on Citizen Psychologists, where she provided training and materials to enable psychologists to more effectively use their knowledge and skills to serve within their local communities.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, cooking/baking, gardening, playing piano, watching football (go Colts! go Gators!), and spending time with my family. My partner is from Turkey, and we enjoy traveling as well!
